Your Donation Will Help.........
...the Award Winning Galatean Players Ensemble Theatre continue to afford to produce quality theatre. Throughout our 18 year history, we have been incredibly involved in theatre which partners with local community groups in order to bring the Arts and Education to as many people as possible -- so your donation actually benefits a lot of organizations. Here's an example of how we do it.....
This past February, we worked with Community Violence Solutions, producing Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues." The production also brought Planned Parenthood and STAND Against Domestic Violence into our theatre to raise money and awareness to help end violence amongst women & girls.
GPET followed that with "Mister Roberts" performed on the SS Red Oak Victory in the Rosie the Riveter National Park. In October, we were honored to perform "Rivets" by Kathryn G. McCarty & Mitchell Covington, again as guests of the ship. The World Premiere musical honors our American Veterans, both past and present. The rent payment for this special theatre goes towards restoring the last surviving Victory Ship built at the Kaiser Richmond Shipyards.
In December we will entertain hundreds of school children with Caroline Altman's "Whiskers!" which is a musical adaptation of the inspirational "The Velveteen Rabbit."
Each year GPET also gives 100's of tickets to members of our community who would not otherwise be able to attend live theatre. Our partnerships with important service organizations continue to bring increased visibility of the importance of the Arts in a strong community.
As production costs rise, we have continued to invest in our community - but this year, we find we need help, so we are reaching out to our patrons to help keep this valuable theatre company "in the black."
To donate any amount please click the "donate" button to the left. As reference, one ticket costs $25, but any amount will be very appreciated. With your Tax Deductible Donation, GPET will be able to continue to provide tickets to people who would not otherwise be able to attend live theatre, as well as to produce quality theatre. If you wish to donate in a way other than online, you may call our box office at (925) 676-5705.
